And so, another season passes by in the blink of an eye. These past few months have gone by so quickly, and even though there were days where I spent appreciating my favourite season, I did not nearly feel as present at the moment. Life just goes by so fast that it is easy to forget to live life daily and to stop along the road and appreciate the view.

June has been a tough month for so many people and everything that is going on will continue to for a while longer. This month, I have not been reading as much as I planned to (as I participated in six readathons) but I did take a bit of time off to relax and spend more time with my loved ones.

March has been the best reading month for me so far this year. I read nine books and also completed my Goodreads challenge of reading at least 20 books in 2020. After a few months of being in a reading slump, I think I am finally back to my old self. I have so many books I want to get to over the next few months and I absolutely cannot wait.

It is a dark and difficult time for all of us but despite all that is happening in the world, books still manage to help me escape. Being stuck at home has been doing me good. I now have the time to slow down and appreciate all the small things we usually miss because of our busy schedules. To entertain myself, I decided to participate in a weekend read-a-thon.
