As always, I prefer reading to watching a film or series, and I usually only have time for either one of them. However, that does not mean I don’t enjoy spending time watching a good film or binging an addicting series. Each year I tell myself I will watch more things in the new year, but that is never the case. I am hoping that it will change in 2023, as there are quite a few series I want to binge on Netflix.

At the beginning of the year, I told myself to only buy books whenever I visited the bookstores in the city, and I was doing well until the second half of the year. I honestly do not know what came over me because I hauled most of the books in this haul in only a few months. However, since it was my birthday and Christmas, I wanted to go all out as I rarely buy any books on these occasions.

Not only did I receive many books from publishers and a bookstore, but I got so many fantastic opportunities after years of being part of the book community. Getting books to read and review always puts the biggest smile on my face, and it feels so rewarding.
