It has been so long since I took part in readathons and book clubs, so when I saw The Dark Academics book club pick for the month of July, I just knew it was the perfect chance to pick up this book.

Participating in this book club is something I have been wanting to do since I first heard about it, and I would have this month but I did not get around to reading the book club pick. This coming month, however, I am going to make sure I get to the book as it is one I have been wanting to pick up for years.

This month’s book club pick for the Busy Bee Book Club is one I have been meaning to get to for the longest time, and it is one I actually received an eARC of a while back.

About the Blogger

White Rose Stories is a blog run by a teenage bookworm under the pseudonym Rose White.

Rose lives on a wine farm, somewhere in the peaceful countryside, in South Africa and can always be found with her nose between the pages of a book and/or with her loving puppy, Zorba.

She is a full-time university student studying English and Linguistics. However, in her free time, she likes to write reviews for some of her favourite books and capture them in pictures to share with her friends, followers and the rest of the bookstagram community on Instagram.

Favourite Quote at the Moment

“What she needs are stories. Stories are a way to preserve one’s self. To be remembered. And to forget. Stories come in so many forms: in charcoal, and in song, in paintings, poems, films. And books. Books, she has found, are a way to live a thousand lives—or to find strength in a very long one.”
