Happy New Year’s Eve! There are only a few hours left of 2022 and I will be ringing in the new year by cuddling with my dog whilst finishing my last read of the year. I hope that 2023 will be a good year for all of us and that we will get to many fantastic and new all-time favourite reads!

As always, I prefer reading to watching a film or series, and I usually only have time for either one of them. However, that does not mean I don’t enjoy spending time watching a good film or binging an addicting series. Each year I tell myself I will watch more things in the new year, but that is never the case. I am hoping that it will change in 2023, as there are quite a few series I want to binge on Netflix.

At the beginning of the year, I told myself to only buy books whenever I visited the bookstores in the city, and I was doing well until the second half of the year. I honestly do not know what came over me because I hauled most of the books in this haul in only a few months. However, since it was my birthday and Christmas, I wanted to go all out as I rarely buy any books on these occasions.

This year, especially these last few months, has been really special and exciting. Not only did I receive many books from publishers and a bookstore, but I got so many fantastic opportunities after years of being part of the book community. Getting books to read and review always puts the biggest smile on my face, and it feels so rewarding. I am incredibly grateful for every opportunity and special moment this year, no matter how big or small.
