The Joy of Christmas Book Tag

Happy Christmas Eve, everyone! A little while ago, I saw Georgia from Lost in Neverland take part in this book tag, and she has inspired me to do so too. I am so excited to answer the questions and give you some of my recommendations!

ANTICIPATION — THE CHRISTMAS EXCITEMENT IS REAL
What book release(s) are you most anticipating?

Whenever I get asked this question, every answer flies out of my head. The four that first come to mind are Nine Liars by Maureen Johnson, The Stolen Heir by Holly Jackson, Happy Place by Emily Henry and The Brothers Hawthorne by Jennifer Lynn Barnes.

After checking my Goodreads, I also want to mention the following that I am really excited for: Her Radiant Curse by Elizabeth Lim and A Curse for True Love by Stephanie Garber.

CHRISTMAS SONGS & CAROLS
What book or author can you not help but sings its praises?

The A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder books and Five Survive by Holly Jackson, The Inheritance Games series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, and Gallant, as well as The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab.

GINGERBREAD HOUSES
What book or series has wonderful world-building?

Oh, the first that comes to mind is Gallant by V.E. Schwab. Everything was so beautifully written, and I could see the entire story in my mind as I read.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL
Favourite classic or one that you want to read?

I really need to get into classics more, but one I want to read as soon as possible is Little Women by Louisa May Alcott.

CHRISTMAS SWEETS
What book would you love to receive for Christmas?

Honestly, I would be happy with any book. I ordered many books for myself that will, unfortunately, only arrive after Christmas, but I have wanted to get the Lore Olympus by Rachel Smythe graphic novel series for a long time.

CANDLES IN THE WINDOW
What book gives you that warm fuzzy feeling?

I think any Mariana Zapata book, especially Luna and the Lie and All Rhodes Lead Here.

CHRISTMAS TREES & DECORATIONS
What are some of your favourite book covers?

This is honestly an impossible question as there are so, so many. I will only be narrowing the possibilities down to a few of the books I have read.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Keep reading, stay safe and never stop telling stories.
