EVERMORE BOOK TAG

Ever since Taylor surprised us with the Evermore album, I have been wanting to do a book tag about it. So, you can imagine how excited I got when I saw that the lovely Ahaana from Windows to Worlds tagged me in a book tag she created. Many thank yous to her for tagging me and for all the hard work she did to create this book tag!

So, grab a cup of coffee, play Evermore in the background and let us get started on this book tag!

Rules:

—Link back to the original creator’s post: Ahaana’s at Windows to Worlds
—Tag at least 5 people
—Thank the person who tagged you and link back to their post!!
—Feel free to use the graphics in this post , but please credit back because they took a lot of time and effort to make (:

The Wicked King by Holly Black. Cardan is, well, Cardan but from the moment I first came across him in the books, I just fell in love with the world around him. Both Jude and Cardan found a way into my heart and I still think about the world of Elfhame every now and then.

Evidence of the Affair by Taylor Jenkins Reid. This little book left me with a cliffhanger I will never forget. I read it a while back so I cannot vividly remember the character’s names but my heart goes out the the main character, in a way, as she always finds herself alone in the end.

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab. I cannot even begin to describe what this book means to me. After many years of reading, I finally found a book that really resonated with my heart and mind. It came to me at the perfect time in my life and it is a book I just know I will reread many more times in the future.

Coraline by Neil Gaiman. Coraline is a character (and book) that found a way into my heart completely by surprise. After feeling neglected and invisible by her parents, Coraline sought out somebody that cared for her but she soon found out that the grass is not always greener on the other side. At the end of the book, she realises what she had in front of her all along and I think that is something we all too often forget.

The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris. This book broke my heart in so many ways and for so many different reasons. Both Lale and Gita went through so many horrifying things throughout their lives and they found each other in the midst of it all. Their relationship suffered because of everything that happened around them but still, they found each other in the end and came out of it stronger. It truly is one of those books that will always stay with you.

My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite. Want a quick read that’s all about murder? This would be the book for you. I am quite a slow reader and very rarely get though a book in a day, let alone in a few hours. But this one, I managed to finish in one sitting, which never happens. It kept me entertained from start to finish and it is the type of book one cannot help but laugh at, despite the gruesome topic. The two sisters definitely have a special (?) type of relationship.

I do not really have an answer for this one as I only became an avid reader since 2017 and cannot remember what books I read when I was a child. I rarely read until a few years back, so the books on my Goodreads shelves are relatively new.

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. I just love the friendships and characters in this duology. From the moment I met them, I felt part of their gang and I am truly buzzing with excitement for the Shadow and Bone Netflix series.

House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas. This book kept me up until the early hours of the morning and had me sobbing for hours. I just think it was so well and beautifully written and the moral of the story is something that will always stick with me. Through love, all is possible.

Coraline by Neil Gaiman. Definitely this one! I never would have thought I would love this books as much as I did.

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. It is truly the only book I can think of, at the moment, after seeing Ahaana mention it for the prompt in her book tag blog post.

Liewe Heksie Omnibus deur Verna Vels. I have a really bad memory and truly cannot remember the stories I used to read as a kid but one that is kind of difficult to forget is Liewe Heksie (which, directly translated, means “Dear Little Witch”). I was given this exact same edition by my uncle from Namibia.

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. This book was one I knew I would love from the beginning. It is such a powerful book with such a strong message and it is one I will always recommend.

Our Violent End by Chloe Gong. I needed this books months ago. Ever since I finished These Violent Delights in November, I have been thinking about the cliffhanger daily. I am so excited, and scared, for this sequel!

Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas. I remember staying up late into the night, reading this book until I could no longer keep my eyes open, despite having to study for exams the next day. This massive book was the first, and only, book I was able to read so quickly. Almost a 1000 pages in only a few days. This was a series I had the absolute best time binging and this book made all that days/weeks worth it.
