WATCHED IN NOVEMBER

November has been the month of binging series. Even though I only watched two series on Netflix, I binged so many episodes as I could not get enough.

F I L M S

Little Women (2019)

Rating: 5 out of 5.

OWN YOUR STORY

Four sisters come of age in America in the aftermath of the Civil War.

This film is one I have been wanting to watch since it came out in last year. I loved it just as much as I thought I would and I especially loved Saoirse Ronan, Florence Pugh, Emma Watson, Timothée Chalamet and Meryl Streep. I definitely cried while watching this and am excited to rewatched it with my sister soon.

S E R I E S

Gilmore Girls (S5:E6—S7:E4)

Lorelai Gilmore, an independent young woman, shares a close bond with her wilful daughter, Rory. However, her relationship with her own mother is strained.

I started this series last year and after watching the first episode, I was obsessed with Stars Hallow. I took a break from the series a bit over the past few months but I have been in the mood to binge the rest of it so that I can finish all the episodes by the end of the year. I honestly cannot get enough of this series and cannot wait to continue the last few episodes.

The Queen’s Gambit (S1:E1—S1:E7)

Set during the Cold War era, orphaned chess prodigy Beth Harmon struggles with addiction in a quest to become the greatest chess player in the world.

After hearing everyone talk about this series this past month, I decided to give it a go. I loved it so much! Anya Taylor-Joy is such a fantastic actress and the series was so well done. I cried and chuckled and overall, was just obsessed with the story. The soundtrack is phenomenal, the different settings breathtaking and Beth’s outfits are just so stunning.
