APRIL BOOK HAUL

This month, I bought quite a lot of books. I downloaded all of them for a really amazing price on my Kindle as I was unable to receive any physical copies because of lockdown. Two eARCs were also kindly sent my way, which I am really excited to read.

Let us look at the books I bought and received this month!

EBOOKS BOUGHT

  • Loveboat, Taipei by Abigail Hing Wen: I have been wanting to read this book for a while now because I have seen it a lot on bookstagram and book twitter. After I bought it, I decided to add it to my TBR for the Asian Readathon that I will be participating in this coming month.
  • Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin: So many people have been raving about this book and I thought it was time to see what the hype was about. Honestly looking forward to reading this so much and I am hoping to get to it before the sequel releases later this year.
  • The Body in the Library by Agatha Christie: Last year, I read my first Agatha Christie novel, Crooked House, and I really loved it. Reading her books is something I want to do more of so, as it is autumn here, I think it is the perfect time to read a thriller.
  • What the Wind Knows by Amy Harmon: A lot of people have been saying that they really loved this book and I decided to buy it. I know almost nothing about this but it is just one of those books I want to go into without knowing what it is about.
  • The Lost Sisters by Holly Black: I read the first book in this trilogy for the O.W.L.’s Magical Readathon this month and loved it. Really want to continue with the rest of the books and this short story soon!
  • Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuinston: This was one of the books I read last year but unfortunately, I did not enjoy it as much as everyone else. After seeing on Twitter that the book was on sale, I decided to buy it to give it another go and see what I think.
  • The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary: I do not know much about this one but have been seeing a few people read it lately, so I decided to give it a try.
  • In Five Years by Rebecca Serle: Yet another book I know nothing about, but I am hoping to get to it in the near future.
  • The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams: Lately, with everything going on in the world, I have been wanting to read something lighter. I think this is a romantic comedy, which is not my usual genre but nonetheless, I am looking forward to pick it up.
  • Love & Misadventure by Lang Leav: I have been wanting to read Lang Leav’s poetry books for the longest time and when I saw that it was on Amazon Kindle for really cheap, I immediately downloaded it. Will be reading this one for the Asian Readathon.
  • The Empress of Salt and Fortune by Nghi Vo: As this is a short story, I chose to read it for the Asian Readathon as well. It looks so interesting and the cover instantly grabbed my attention when I first saw it.

BOOKS RECEIVED FROM AN AUTHOR

  • The Circus (The Lost Aden #0.6) by Jonathan Hunter: Last month, the author sent me two of his books, The First Gate and Tournament of the Lost, to read and review. When he asked if I would be interested in reading this one as well, I immediately agreed. I have heard nothing but amazing things about them and am excited to binge read them all soon.

BOOKS RECEIVED FROM NETGALLEY

  • Out of Body by Jeffrey Ford: After reading the synopsis, I just had to request it. Thank you so much to NetGalley and Tor.com for sending it my way! It seems like a really quick read and I am excited to pick it up.

That is all of the books I received this month! I am super excited to get to them and love each one’s cover so much.

Keep on reading and never stop telling stories.
